Abueg is a Californian who is passionate about empowering individuals and communities to make a difference by bringing people together in a collaborative way to solve problems and enact change. But the first things his friends will tell you is that he has never forgotten where he's come from or who he's fighting for. Abueg is confident that California and the United States of America's best days are still ahead of itself.
Christian was a Finalist at the 2012 California State Champion Tournament for Speech and Debate. After Abueg's victory Peter Fischetti of the Press Enterprise stated, "it's probably not a great idea to get into an argument with Christian Abueg. Chances are you're going to lose." With a deep interest in politics, Christian pursued a Bachelor's of Arts, BA (Hons), Degree in Political Science at Richmond, the American International University in London (RAIUL) as a Presidential Scholar. Abueg's time in London was book-ended with glittering prestige, he was awarded his University's Dean's List twice for Academic Excellence, his University's Best in Major for Political Science in 2014, and Richmond University's Top Graduating Senior in Political Science in 2015. Completing his degree in three years, in May of 2015 Abueg was awarded dual degrees in Political Science: an American Degree accredited by the Middle States Commission with Latin Honors (Cum Laude) coupled with a British First Class Honors Degree validated by the Royal Charter of the Open University (OU).
Moreover, Abueg is an honors graduate of the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE). Where he was a member at the LSE's Department of Government earning his (MSc) Master of Science Degree in Public Policy & Administration with a specialization in Comparative Public Policy & Administration.
As of December 2019, Abueg holds certifications in Executive Leadership from Cornell University, Business Management from Harvard Business School, and a Certificate in Project Management & Applied Accounting from the University of California - Irvine.
Abueg is also a member of one of the world's leading think-tanks based in the United Kingdom: the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House). He is also a member of the Orange County Public Affairs Association.
